Figaro and Rosina: the Ribbon Cutters
From MARHES
In September 14 2008 the Centennial Engineering Building was opened in a special ceremony at The University of New Mexico. The ribbon was cut by two robots named 'Figaro' and 'Rosina' designed by a group of outstanding students that work in the Marhes Lab under the supervision of Professor Rafael Fierro. The robots were named after the well known characters of Mozart's opera The Marriage of Figaro.
